Home_video presents video materials made by Macedonian artists. The dynamics of the projections will depend on the arrival of new materials, and each new screening will follow after collecting these materials. If there are not enough new productions, this idea will come to its end. This selection does not intend to put a strongly built concept. Its aim is to present the videos to a wider audience, and let them have the final decision. For us the most important thing is enthusiasm for presentation and support of the artists who work in this medium.
This selection focuses on video art production of younger generation of artists that work in Macedonia and abroad. It doesn’t intend to criticize and make a thematically selection, or make judgment about the quality of the craftsmanship of the production. It makes a panoramic view of the production at this very moment, and leaves time to decide whether they should remain in our minds after the screenings or not. All of the works have different approaches; some of them are focusing on the poetic narrations, urban examination, critically oriented to the political situation… But all of them are showing different aspects and interests of the artists. Some of the videos are shown before and some of them have their premiere today.
