Heart beats light, contemporary art and dance in America
Allyson Green is eminent choreographer and visual artist, her interdisciplinary work has been praised for "virtuosic" dancing framed in evocative landscapes that integrate original music, new media and vivid costume and set designs.
Based in New York from 1986-2001, Ms. Green was a noted performer and the rehearsal director in the companies of Yoshiko Chuma SOHK, Charles Moulton, Doug Varone, Randy Warshaw. Ms. Green has given numerous workshops in modern technique and improvisation in Europe, Eastern Europe, South America, and the United States. Her work has been particularly influenced by her teaching and choreographic research in East/Central Europe.
Green has visited Macedonia before in 1998 and 1999 developing successful collaborations and performing several of her choreographies in the frame of Youth Open Theater Festival (MOT 1998) and Skopje Summer Festival (1999).
Currently, Allyson Green is an Associated Professor in Theater and Dance at the University of California, San Diego.
